Your data is yours. We only ask for what we need.

This page explains exactly what we collect when you book an appointment with Masilar, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to delete it. It is written to be read by humans — not lawyers.

Who we are

Masilar is an independent automotive protection studio operating in Sétif, Algeria. When this policy refers to “we”, “us”, or “our”, we mean Masilar. When it refers to “you”, we mean any visitor to this website and any customer who has booked or considered booking an appointment with us.

What we collect

When you submit a booking through this website we collect the following fields, which you provide directly:

  • Your full name
  • A phone number we can call to confirm the appointment
  • The make, model, and year of the vehicle
  • The service you have requested and the date and time
  • An email address — optional, only if you provide one
  • Any notes you choose to add

We do not collect payment card numbers through this website. We do not run advertising cookies, behavioural trackers, or fingerprinting scripts. The site does not embed any third-party social pixels.

Why we collect it

Every field above exists for exactly one reason: to schedule and deliver the service you asked for. Phone numbers are used to call you to confirm the slot, to reach you if a vehicle question comes up during the appointment, and to let you know when the work is finished. Email — if you provided it — is used to send a calendar invite and a written confirmation.

We do not use your contact details for marketing. We do not sell them, rent them, or share them with anyone outside our own studio.

Who processes your data on our behalf

To deliver the booking workflow we use the following service providers. Each one only sees the minimum data they need to do their part:

  • Resend — sends the confirmation email to you and the notification email to the studio. Receives your name, phone, vehicle, and email if provided. Hosted in the EU under their published terms.
  • Meta WhatsApp / Twilio — when enabled, delivers a WhatsApp alert to the studio team. Receives your name, phone, vehicle, and booking details. Used only to notify the team; you are not added to any contact list.

We may add or change providers as we improve the booking workflow. This page will be updated when we do.

How long we keep it

Active bookings are kept for as long as the appointment is in our forward calendar.

Completed bookings are kept for up to ten years — matching the length of our longest warranty term. Without install photographs, material batch numbers, and the booking record, we cannot honor a multi-year warranty claim, which is the legal basis for this retention period. Once a vehicle's warranty period has passed, you may request deletion.

Email confirmations remain in the sending provider's logs according to their retention policy, usually thirty days for delivery metadata.

Your rights

Under Algerian Law N°18-07 on the protection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data, you have the right to:

  • Ask what we hold on you and receive a copy
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Ask us to delete your record once the warranty period has passed
  • Object to a specific use of your data

Send the request to studio@masilar.com and we will respond within thirty days.

Security

The booking form is served over HTTPS. Submissions are validated on the server and stored only inside the providers listed above. We do not keep a local copy of customer phone numbers or email addresses in any spreadsheet or device outside the studio's access-controlled accounts.

Changes to this policy

When we add a new service provider or change how data is used, we will update this page and refresh the effective date at the top. Material changes will also be mentioned in a banner on the home page for at least thirty days.
